Add/Remove

Add remove servers allows you to add and remove servers from a set of applications at once. Plan your action carefully. First select the applications in thePAU main screen. Then choose ‘add/remove’ from the pull down menu ‘server’. Now you can select the servers. Select Add to add the selected servers to the selected applications, or select Remove to remove them.

 

PAU first checks to see if you action is valid. You cannot remove a server from a application if the server doesn’t occur for that application. You cannot add a server to an application if it is already associated with the application. You will receive an error message. This does not mean the whole action is canceled. Check the log to see what server cannot be added/removed to/from what application. If some of the actions you see in the log are not what you planned you can always exit PAU of refresh.

 

You should review your applications before you save your changes.

Save server list

A server list can only be saved if one application is checked. Choose the pull down menu, or right click on the application and select 'server' and 'save server list'. A server list is in XML format, and contains a list of servers. The extension of the file is .asl and PAU suggests saving the file as [applicationname].asl, you are free to choose a different filename.

Load server list

A server list can only be loaded if one application is checked; it defaults to 'my documents'. The extension of a server list file is .asl and is in .xml format. Note that PAU checks if the server(s) in you .asl file are citrix servers in the farm, non citrix server cannot be added. After loading a server list always refer to the log to see if your 'load server list' operation was successful.

Export to .csv

When PAU starts it keeps track of all occourred server. These servers are exported to a .csv file when you select this function.
