Farm monitor doesn't require to be installed. You just need the two files in the archieve to be in the same directory.

 

What errer message are you getting?, Can you maybe paste the part of the log file where it goes wrong in here? The log file is in 'my documents', 'fase_log.txt'.

 

I get a #Error system.reflection.targetInvocationException..and a very long list of errors. No logs in My documents. Running from PS 4.5. .net runtime 2.0.50727.42 Is there anything to do to install? Any Documentation?

So once you fire the .exe file, you get this error before you see anny other dialog?

A few things that could be it:

-when starting FM tries to write a config file next to the .exe, do you have write permission on that folder?

-FM tries writing a log in 'my documents', sometimes when my documents is redirected to only a drive letter, without a folder; for example: h:\ and not h:\username, FM is unable to write.

-do you have enough rights on both windows,citrix?

-can you give me the details of the error

wow nice tool would be great if it could run off a PC so you do not have to logon to the servers

If you ran it of a PC, there is no way to get the farm inventory.

 

So we had to find a solution for that...
