Hi Support team,

I was really wowed when I stumbled on your site. I immediatly purchased a license and downloaded FASE, unfortunatly and sadly your product is not working for me.

I have installed it on one of my XenApp 4.5 Citrix farm Citrix servers .This farm was upgraded from a PS4.0 farm about 6 months ago.  It has recently been patched with FR3. We use a SQL database as the farms data stor.

When I attempt to run the farmreporter I get the following error

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

I don't know how to make heads of tails of this error message. I noticed that other threads in this forum have reported similar issues.

One point of interest is this error occurs on the last item to gather information for. ie; I originally opted to gather information on all settings and this error appered when it began to collect information about the printer management. Thinking it was an issue with only this component I reselected everything except the Printer management and the item above it 'Policies' returned this exception error

On another note can I run FASE from my Windows vista x64 SP1 workstation? I originally tried and got similar errors as mentioned above.

Anyway. I believe this would be a great product once I can get it to work

Thanking you in advance.

Kevin

Thanks for adressing this!,

It crashes when reporting a server that is assigned with a policy, can you please send the log file (in my documents, fase_log.txt) to support [at] gourami [dot] eu. Here you can find on what policy it crashed. Probally this policy is assigned to a server that is no longer in the farm. You can easily correct this by totally removing the server filter from the policy, and then reapply it.

But again, send us the log file first!

We are currently working on x64 support and XenApp 5.0 support. Running from a workstations is not supported at all, there is no way of getting that done! You cannot install Citrix on a workstation/XP.

Hi, Last week I replied to the latest post on the 28th Jan by sending the generated log files to gourami.eu.

I have still to recieve a reply and hence cannot use the software purchased.

Can someone from support please provide me with a follow up to this case?

Thanks

KJG

Hey Kevin,

Something must have gone wrong, we have not recieved the log. We also send you a email, on 30th of Jan, 11:04 CET. We asked if the problem was still there. We did not get anny responce! So we are a bit amazed you say we have not responded since you opened the case!

Your email is: kgalea[at]manassen[and the rest] right?

Annyway back on topic, please anser the previous question:
-in the log you can find on what policy it crases
-open that policy using the citrix management console
-remove the server filter policy
-test if the problem is solved
-re-add the server filter policy
-test if the problem is solved

Hope this helps!

Okey,

Then it's probally the first policy it crashes on, thats the topmost in you CMC.

-open that policy using the citrix management console
-remove the server filter policy
-test if the problem is solved
-re-add the server filter policy
-test if the problem is solved

Again: there is a problem with the server filter of the policy. Probally there is a server added to the policy that no longer exists. By re-applying the policy, this problem can be fixed. A dscheck could also solve this.

Let us know how this goes...
