I wish it was easier to remove all of the Apps from a server and then re-add those same Apps at a later time.  It's currently easy to remove all Apps from a server but bringing the server back online with the same Apps can be time consuming.  I currently have to go into the log to see which Apps were removed successfully to know which Apps to add back.  Not all of our Apps are published on all of our servers.

Thank you,
Eric

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, but you cannot add or remove a published application to a server. You need to add or remove a server from or to a published application.

Maybe you can do that esier with a 'server list'?

I believe you understand me correctly.  I realize that MFCOM works on the published application and not the server.  In some cases the opposite would be more helpful. :)

It would be incredibly useful to de-publish all applications(Applications A,B,E,F) from CTXSRV5 for example, by working with the servers.  This would need to save a list(ctxsrv5.txt) of published applications on CTXSRV5, for example.  Then, after maintenance was performed, these applications (Applications A,B,E,F) could be re-published to CTXSRV5 using the list, ctxsrv5.

Another benefit of this functionality might be the ability to quickly publish the same applications to new servers.  The ctxsrv5.txt file could be renamed to ctxsrv6.txt to allow these same published apps to be published on a new server, CTXSRV6.

Thank you for a great product,
Eric

Eric,

But with PAU you can, select Application A,B,E and F, then 'add remove server', and select server CTXSVR5. And later, you can add them again using the same method.

What does that differ from your goal?

Thanks for the kind words on our product, thank you for the responce!

Right, but it's not automatic.  First I would need to make a list of the applications on a particular server.  Then I would need to select all of the applications and remove the server.

I was looking for an automated way to take a server offline by choosing the server and dumping all of its applications.  And then an equally easy way of bringing the server back online with the same apps.

I think it's just a matter of ease.  Thank you for considering this idea.

I think I'm starting to get what you mean,

So you would like to see an addition to the 'server' pull down menu, something called, 'put in maintaince mode', you'll be presented a list with all servers.

Here you can select the server you would like to put in maintaince mode. After this, you can save this list. And these servers are removed for all application.

Restore maintaince mode will do the same but reverse ofcourse...

Good idea, I'm not promising annything, but I will adress with to the rest of the team!

Thanks!

Your 'put in maintenance mode' idea is very good.  I think this would be a popular feature.  I'm glad you were able to decypher my request.  Sorry for the confusion.  :)

We've only owned PAU for a few days and have already found it to be very useful.  Thanks for creating such a wonderful tool!

Sincerely,
Eric
