Hi there,
Is there a silent install option for UNICA so that we do not display the "splash screen / progress"
Thanks
Rgs S
I also second that. We are planning to use it as a scripted uninstall before installing a new Citrix client, then we need a completely silent uninstall. Thanks in advance.
All, fine, we are gonna build it in the next release.
But how are you going to prevent users from starting ICA sessions when there is nothing on the screen indicating the ICA client is being reinstalled.
We will probably run it as logon script or force it to run outside the normal business hours.
Thanks - looking forward to the new release.

Hi
I have some problem with unica uninstall.
There is a command to disable this messages "Are you sure you want completely remove 'Citrix Ica Client' and all of its components'???
I have tried with --silent options but this message appear every time.
I need to uninstall a lot of ica installation with sms and I'd like that user should not interact with uninstall.
Is it possible?
There is some other option that I don't Know?
I am using unica 1.4.1
Thanks to everyone
Same problem as frauno is experiencing. Is there an answer. It's pointless to deploy thru GPO if the prompts have to be answered by the user. Any help or is it not possible?
This messaged is caused by the Installed ICA client.
Probally some version do now allow auto de-install.
What version of the ICA client is generating this message?
Metaframe Presentation Server Web Client for Win32 V.10.15
And if you look up the uninstall UID for that applicaion in the register, and deinstall it using msiexec with the UID. Do you also get the message?
I have the same problem with Metaframe Presentation Server Web Client for Win32 V.9.2 prompting the user to select Yes or No to uninstall the client. Is there anyway to suppress this?
All Unica does, is fire the uninstall string found in the registry, so if you still get a prompt, I suggest finding a command line to silently uninstall it. Which you probably won't find,
But the real issue here is that the package won't allow silent uninstall, we heard of a few ICA packages that have that. Really amazes us, because most packages do allow silent uninstall.
Not yet!, Seems like a good idea!, the customer we made it for specificly asked for a screen, this was to stop users from using the ICA client before it was installed properly.
But a /silent option seems like a good idea!
