H.B. Haug: We use PAU for administering two different farms and it saves us a lot of time and I really mean a LOT. Just a small task (in talking) like removing or adding one or more servers to several published applications takes a lot of mouse clicks and a serious amount of time. Using PAU this is done very fast. Creating a group of test applications is now piece of cake thanks to the ability to mass-edit applications. This product is really great and definitely worth a try. Notluf: PAU rescue story. I've been using PAU for PS 4.5 for a few weeks now and I really like it. It is nice to be able to recover a deleted application and not have to try to remember permissions, users, audio on/off, etc... It really is a nice utility. I was tinkering with my Citrix farm at my house when I wanted to play with streaming an application from one server to another. Yes, server to server streaming is possible. So I installed SQL and did the usual "dsmaint /migrate" stuff and then changed the farm to point to the new datastore. It all looked like it migrated okay until I logged into the web interface only to discover no applications. Crap, I had an empty datastore. No big deal, I'll revert back to the Access database. No such luck, for some reason it was now empty too. Go figure, I didn't back it up; it is just my 'play' farm I use for learning. Well, I learned some stuff today. I changed the farm back to the SQL server and was about to begin the long process of redeploying my apps when I saw the PAU icon on the desktop. (Cue the icon of the light bulb over my head) I launched PAU and within five minutes had my new empty datastore populated with all of my applications, users, permissions, etc.... I didn't have to lift a finger. The farm is now working 100% as it was before but the datastore is SQL now. Now I am off to play with server to server streaming. Thank you PAU! I am working on a project for a client (An international Food Producer) who runs their entire enterprise on Presentation Server. We decided to build a brand new 4.x farm to replace their XP farm, and were faced with dealing with Thousands of Apps to import, and change servers, Program neighbourhood Folder etc. We used your tool to change the settings we needed.
